Art is a visual thing that provokes certain feelings or thoughts. It is how we can tell others our feelings in ways that are easier to understand. Art is when we dig deep into our souls or hearts and bring out feelings. But feelings and thoughts are weak things, things too delicate to display. But if you close your eyes and draw what you see in your soul, it expresses that magic and captures it. Art isn't as delicate as the soul, so it is easier for people to look at it and think about it. But some artworks are meant to provoke deep thought, because the artists really spent a lot of time looking at their souls. The colors one uses in art symbolize feelings, also. Colors represent different emotions, and the feelings they show are based off of ancient beliefs. ~ Caroline Beckwith
